We are on spring break and we are keeping it low key. Today we went out for a little hike.
My husband used to mountain bike all around the wolf river and today he took us back to his old stomping grounds for a good long hike.
We saw some pretty native plants.
~red bottle brush buckeye~ hummingbirds love these!!
~I am not good at wildflowers, maybe some of these were “weeds”, but they were pretty. I also love moss. So green and pretty!
~Emma with her “hiking emergency kit bag”
~notice who is carrying the “emergency bag” now!
~we saw owl boxes, benches and the scary “alligator log” peeking up at us from the brown river bed…
~this bridge caused us a bit of trouble..
we made it, even thought that pesky alligator was after us again..
There are no signs left of winter, we are in the 80′s now. It was a great day for a hike.
I hope you are enjoying your spring weather wherever you may be!
